Our response to extending ECO

November 28th, 2013

The Energy Bill Revolution today commented on the Government’s reported plans that it will lower energy bills by extending the Energy Company Obligation from two to four years:

Ed Matthew, Director of Energy Bill Revolution said:

“Extending ECO is a technical term for wrecking the UK energy efficiency industry and halving insulation for the fuel poor. It would drive up energy bills in the long term and condemn millions of people to living in cold homes.  It would rank as one of the most short sighted decisions in a political generation.”
